Today was our 3rd annual Turkey Drive with the Clamshell Foundation! We delivered 108 Thanksgiving Turkeys via our SoulGrow Bus to families and organizations across eastern Long Island that are in need! We started at the Camp SoulGrow Studio then took our SoulGrow Bus to the Amagansett IGA and gave turkeys to The Calvary Baptist Church and the Jewish Center of the Hamptons... then we loaded up our SoulGrow Bus and drove to Wainscott and delivered turkeys to the Living Water Church-- they had an amazing playground and we had a great time enjoying the beauty of the day.. after that we delivered turkeys to Meals on Wheels in East Hampton and learned about the different programs they offer to help so many... Then we rode to Montauk and delivered turkeys to St Therese Church and the Montauk Food Pantry, where the beautiful and generous Alice Houseknecht and she explained the gratitude the people receiving these turkeys will have... then we made our final stop at The Montauk Firehouse, where we delivered turkeys and also had our own Turkey Thanksgiving meal together... Herb's Market provided the amazing food and Ms Allison Bell prepared everything for our arrival (and baked us delicious cookies), we had a wonderful lunch together and each talked about everything we are thankful for. Montauk Firefighter Shawn Christman explained to us that he will be cooking the turkeys donated and delivering warm meals on Thanksgiving Day. After a long fun and relaxing lunch, we jumped back on our SoulGrow Bus and got brought back home by our bus driver Matthew Galcik. We are extremely grateful for the opportunities we have to serve and show our love to our community! Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
